Mini Review
I didn't have high expectations going into The Cube, so I wasn't disappointed, but saying that, I wasn't surprised either.
The menus are clean and easy to use and there are practically no loading times, so you can jump in and out of games with ease. One of the biggest problems with the game is that you can't choose the challenge you want to play individually from a separate menu, you have to play a regular game and hope it's one of the seven that is randomly chosen.
There are some glitches with the game that can be frustrating or quite a relief. For example in the game blind shot, you can throw the cube into the target area, but if it bounces up and catches the side, it counts as a fail. Whilst on the game spike it can land next to the pole and magically drop through, counting as a win.
Overall though, I did find the game quite fun, and my frustration was surprising low. I didn't get bored either, once you get the hang of it, the trophies start coming quite quickly.

Trophy Guide
Overview
My main plan of attack for this game was to try and get through the cube and not to lose any lives for the Mastered the Cube trophy, and hopefully the rest of the trophies would come naturally, and they did. I didn't use the standard controller at all, I found the PS Move worked well enough. For the PS Move to work, I had to turn off any other controllers attached to the system. It took me 118 games to get the platinum, but that was with some of them only lasting one round. One thing I would advise is not to rage quit because the game doesn't seem to save, where as if you lose or take the money it does.

Extreme Zone
You have unlocked Extreme Zone
You have unlocked Extreme Zone
You will get this trophy the first time you beat the cube, collecting the £250,000. You'll probably beat the cube a few times, it's not difficult at all.
Extreme Zone Defeated
You have beaten all five games in Extreme Zone
You have beaten all five games in Extreme Zone
This is a lot easier than it sounds. Extreme Zone can be accessed from the main menu, unlike the rest of the challenges you can pick which one you want to play, and can do so as often as you want. Once you have completed all five challenges at any time, the trophy will unlock. The challenges are as follows:
Momentum - This is just like the original momentum but with a very small target area. Just keep trying to narrow down the power needed and you should get it after a few attempts. It took me 4 attempts.
Rebound - This is a bit different to the original because you have a very small target area, but also there are no side barriers. Just keep your move controller dead straight, and again keep trying to narrow down the power needed. It took me 22 attempts, mainly because my PS Move kept throwing ball to the right and off the table. Once I calibrated the Move again it was fine.
Perimeter - Exactly the same as the original, but a bit quicker. As with original try and hit X as it reaches the top right corner square. It took me 3 attempts.
Pathfinder - Nice and easy like the original if you have an iPhone handy. Wait for the path to flash up and take a picture, there is plenty of time to do so. It took me 1 attempt (surprisingly).
Revolution - Just like the original, but it spins you quite a bit quicker. May take a few tries to get the timing right, but also like the original, it's just a gentle upward flick with the Move controller. It took me 5 attempts.

Mastered The Cube
Beat The Cube without losing a life
Beat The Cube without losing a life
This trophy may seem impossible once you first start the game, but once you have played around with it for a while, you will realise it is very doable. As I mentioned in the overview, this took me 118 attempts, most of them I only played 3-4 challenges. To beat the cube you will need to you complete six challenges and then one final challenge that will be a more difficult version of one of the previous six. You will need to do all this without losing a life. You can see my individual trophy tips on how to beat most of the challenges, but there are 12 that don't have 'beat without losing a life' trophies. I will give tips for those below:
Capture - I never missed this one. You need to catch a ball in a cylinder, it is always fired to the top middle of the screen, about a quarter of the way down the screen.
Cylinder - One of the more difficult ones to gauge the power needed from just one attempt. Pick up the ball with T and with short sharp flick downwards, let go of T.
Pendulum - You need to swing a ball to knock another ball down. Just hold down T, flick the Move left or right with a medium amount of power, whilst letting go of T.
Quickfire - An easy one, you have to catch a ball being fired at you by pressing T. But you can just hold T down and move to where the ball gets fired, it's quite forgiving, I never missed one of these.
Rapid Fire - I didn't like this challenge either, you have to be really quick. I found it easiest to find a point of reference to point at that would be your starting point where the balls are, mine was my house phone. Then quickly grab a ball with T, swing across your body, letting go of T, and point back to your starting point (house phone), and repeat. This one may take some practice.
Reaction - One of the ones I had most difficulty with, if the target time is 0.350 seconds, I usually got around 0.360-0.375. All you have to do is wait for the screen to flash red and hit X as quickly as possible, or hope it doesn't come up.
Reversal - I only played this challenge once, it was fairly easy, or I may have got lucky, I have no way of telling. You need to throw the ball over your head into a target. Again hold T and using quite a light throw, flick the Move upwards, letting go of T.
Revolving Shot - For this challenge you need to pick up the ball with T, bring it down just off screen, then do a gentle underarm throw, letting go of T, just as you get to the edge of the target.
Time Freeze - For this one you need to blindly guess the duration of ten seconds. I used a stopwatch for this, hit X and start your stopwatch at the same time. Once it reaches 9.8, press X again, you do get half a second either side which help.
Totalise - A very easy one, if you have an iPhone handy. Record the flashing box, then scrub forward frame by frame and count the amount of times it turned red. Almost impossible without a recording.
Vault - For this challenge you need to hold T to pick up the ball, bring the Move back and then fairly gently push forward and let go of T. One of the easier challenges.
Void - A very easy one because of a glitch, hold T and swing forward dead straight as if you're bowling, whilst letting go of T. Use quite a bit of power. Nine times out of ten it will go through the gap no problem, but sometimes it will veer of to the side, but because of the power it may still bounce round the back, which still counts as a win.

Accelerate
Beat Accelerate without losing a life
Beat Accelerate without losing a life
In this game a ball is dropped from a height, and you need to catch it in the target zone. You need to press X and hold it, to start the ball rolling, then when it gets near the target zone, let go of X and you should catch it. Nothing difficult.
Blind Shot
Beat Blind Shot without losing a life
Beat Blind Shot without losing a life
For this game you need to throw a cube over a wall into a target area. You need to hold X to pick up the cube, and gently bring the Move upwards whilst letting go of T, it doesn't need that much power at all.
Calculate
Beat Calculate without losing a life
Beat Calculate without losing a life
A very easy one, if you have an iPhone handy. Record the sequence, then scrub forward frame by frame and count the squares.
Composure
Beat Composure without losing a life
Beat Composure without losing a life
I got this challenge only once, so if you do get it, simplify and concentrate. It is very simple, just hold T and don't touch the sides. The loop will move round on its own, all you need to do is move left or right.
Dead Shot
Beat Dead Shot without losing a life
Beat Dead Shot without losing a life
This may seem quite difficult, but all you need to do is pick up the ball with T, and gently flick upwards, while letting go of T. You don't need much power at all, or you'll hit the ceiling.
Descent
Beat Descent without losing a life
Beat Descent without losing a life
This is quite a hard one to gauge power wise, because you have no depth perception. You have to once again hold the ball with T, then hold it near the top of the screen, then swing down with medium power, whilst letting go of T. You do seem to need a bit of luck, it can be quite annoying, one of a couple that I couldn't find a system that worked every time.
Drop Shot
Beat Drop Shot without losing a life
Beat Drop Shot without losing a life
Really easy with a PS Move. Hold the ball with T, and do a forward bowling motion with medium power, whilst letting go of T. If you keep the Move dead straight, you can't miss.
Duplicate
Beat Duplicate without losing a life
Beat Duplicate without losing a life
The best way to beat this one is to have another person with you. They can read out the letters you need, while you find and enter them. It is easily done on your own, when there are 20 seconds on the clock, but 15 seconds can be a bit tight.
Pathfinder
Beat Pathfinder without losing a life
Beat Pathfinder without losing a life
Firstly, I'm not sure why Pathfinder is between D and F, but that's how the trophies are listed. Anyway, as I mentioned in the Extreme Zone tips, this is easily done with a phone with a camera, just take a picture of the path, then follow it. This is done by moving the Move to the edges of the screen.
Flight Path
Beat Flight Path without losing a life
Beat Flight Path without losing a life
May seem impossible at first, but is actually the easiest one. There is no throwing needed, just pick up the disc with T, and hold it level with the top of base that the target is sat on. Then let go of T without moving, works every time.
Fracture
Beat Fracture without losing a life
Beat Fracture without losing a life
This one may take a bit of practice to get right. Again, holding T, flick the Move downwards at a 45 degree angle with a far amount of force, obviously letting go of T as you go. Once you've had a couple of goes, you should have a feel for it.
Hit Rate
Beat Hit Rate without losing a life
Beat Hit Rate without losing a life
This is another easy one, you need to hit the five buttons quickly. They are placed in an arc shape, just practice going back and forth over the shape, I found it a lot easier going left to right. Once you're confident press X on the first one, and keep hitting X whilst going over the arc shape. You should hit all five in less than 1.5 seconds, I missed the penultimate one a couple of times, and had plenty of time to go back and get it.
Luminate
Beat Luminate without losing a life
Beat Luminate without losing a life
A bit more difficult this one, mainly because you can't gauge the depth properly again. You have to bounce a ball off one plinth onto another. It can be a bit forgiving though, sometimes you might just hit the edge of the second plinth with it still counting. Like always, hold T to pick up the ball, flick downwards with a medium amount of power, whilst letting go of T.
Memory Flash
Beat Memory Flash without losing a life
Beat Memory Flash without losing a life
A camera is helpful once again here, I would film it rather than taking a picture though, as the red boxes only flash up for half a second. Once you've recorded it, scrub forward, count the boxes and enter the amount. Easy.
Momentum
Beat Momentum without losing a life
Beat Momentum without losing a life
This may seem difficult at first as you do need a quite precise amount of power. I kept rolling the ball short, I would say a medium amount of power is needed. Once again hold T to pick up the ball, and in a bowling motion let go of T. A bit of practice to get the feel and it's not that difficult.
Perimeter
Beat Perimeter without losing a life
Beat Perimeter without losing a life
An easy one once you know when to hit X. Start the square moving by pressing X, then when it gets to the box in the top right corner, hit X again. It's just as it is leaving the box, there is an exact point, once you've done it once, you'll know what I mean.
Pulse
Beat Pulse without losing a life
Beat Pulse without losing a life
For this one you need to stop the red box once it fills the floor. When it's the slower, easier pulse, it's not so bad, you can gauge when you need to press X to stop. But the quicker one is a little more difficult. You need to hit X when it's about halfway to filling the floor. Obviously it's easier if you use a simplify.
Pursuit
Beat Pursuit without losing a life
Beat Pursuit without losing a life
Quite easy once you realise they only move one way. There are eight red boxes, but one reveals itself as blue and you need to follow it. Once it reveals itself, keep it on the left of the screen just in sight, you do this by moving the Move to the right. Then as it moves just follow it, they always move to the right, so keep it as left as possible, it can leap quite a few spaces sometimes. Once they stop choose one you think it is with square or triangle and press X.
Quantity
Beat Quantity without losing a life
Beat Quantity without losing a life
Another camera trick helps here. Get out your trusty recording device and record, whilst moving to the left (or right). Do a full 360 degrees, go to playback and scrub forward frame by frame, counting the squares as you go, do it a couple of times to make sure you have the right amount and enter it using triangle, pressing X when you're done.
Reflex
Beat Reflex without losing a life
Beat Reflex without losing a life
You need to be quick here, sitting forward always helped me, god knows why. You need to be ready to press triangle or square, depending which square flashes, left = square and right = triangle. You get half a second, I usually got it in 0.400.
Rebound
Beat Rebound without losing a life
Beat Rebound without losing a life
Holding the move dead straight is not completely necessary here, because if you hit the side, it will take some of the speed out of the ball, especially helpful if you've thrown it a little keenly. If you are going for dead straight, you don't need much power at all, the surface is like ice. Hold T to pick up the ball, and in a forward bowling motion let go of T again. The target can be quite small the later you get this, so simplify may be a good option.
Retrace
Beat Retrace without losing a life
Beat Retrace without losing a life
I didn't do this because I didn't want to stick anything to my TV, but you could make a cutout of the inner circle, stick it to your TV and draw round it, if you're having trouble. I would use that as a last option though. Two circles will appear, one inside the other, then disappear and you have to draw a circle in between where they were. If you concentrate enough, you may be able to see a faint echo of where the circles where, but that doesn't last long. Alternatively, you can make reference points using the audience and almost draw a square like shape.

There is not much power needed at all here, as you can't the walls or ceiling, it will count as a fail. You will need to do a full 360 and throw the ball into the cylinder at the other end of the cube as it comes round again. Hold the ball just of screen using T, get ready throw by flicking up and letting go of T, you need to do this just as you get to the left side of the cylinder.

This one definitely requires a bit of luck. One thing I can advise though is not to try and do an overarm throw. Instead use a short, sharp upwards movement, do this when you are holding the ball, using T, just off screen in the bottom middle. To surmise, throw like a girl.
Spike

This one took me a while to beat, never mind without losing a life. Throwing from the side doesn't work, throwing from the top doesn't work, throwing from the middle doesn't work, but a gentle underarm throw from the bottom middle of the screen does, just. You don't need much power at all, or you'll hit the ceiling. Again, hold T to pick up the ring, and with a gentle upward throw from the bottom middle, let go of T. There is a glitch, the ring might land next to the pole and jump through it, resulting in a win.
Stop Zone

I didn't have a problem with this, but if you do, I would suggest using a stop watch and timing how long it takes. Once you press X a blue box will move up the screen and disappear halfway toward the target zone, but will carry on and you need to guess, press X, when you think it's in the target zone. If you have a good sense of time you shouldn't have a problem, but if you do use the aforementioned stop watch.
Succession

I really annoyed myself with this one, I was always too eager and kept pressing the wrong colour, but if you relax and take your time, within reason, you shouldn't have a problem. The square in the centre will either flash red (triangle) or blue (square), and you need to press the corresponding button as quick as you can, until the end of the sequence. A quick tip, if you get three reds in a row, the next one will definitely be blue and vice versa.
Trajectory

Another luck based one, you can get the amount of power right, but if the cube you are throwing twists at all, it will just bounce of the target area. The best way to try and achieve this one, hold the cube with T, move it to the bottom middle of the screen and throw upwards, without using much power and let go of T. If you're lucky it will slot in nicely, if not it will bounce all over the place, good luck.

Simple enough this one, you need to stop the clock after exactly five seconds. I think I only missed it once. I used my free hand like a metronome, moving it on the second, getting in the rhythm. Also if you stare a the time counting up, it seems to move slower than you'd think. To start and top the count you need to press X.
Velocity

For this game you need to gauge distance and time simultaneously. You need to try and catch the ball inside the target area, the target area opens once the floor flashes red. When that happens, count a couple of seconds, then let go of T and bowl the ball forward, the prongs for the target area will rise again four seconds after the floor flash red, and the ball needs to be in between them at that point. You need to use a medium amount of power, too much and the ball will bounce off the last prong, even if your timing is right.
