Mini Review
Firstly, this game is gorgeous to look at. I don't think I've stopped to admire a game's visuals, as much as I did playing this game. I would say that the age of cut-scenes, within triple A titles at least, is dead. The action and story are seamless, much like it was in GTA V. Another thing inFamous has in common with GTA V, not that they are similar games, apart from being open world, is that neither of them has in-game loading times. For such a detailed game, with some much going on, that is really impressive. I don't think I noticed a single frame rate issue either, even when the action was getting a little crazy. It's not necessarily the graphical fidelity of a game, but the ability to hold it all together, that is what next-gen means to me. A faultless journey. Unlike, a certain EA franchise that has been ruined for me, because of it's technical issues, *cough* Battlefield *cough*.
Gameplay wise, not much has changed. It's still the inFamous that we have all grown to love. Start off exploring your new powers, of which you have three sets this time, smoke, neon and video, then eventually turning into the ultimate being. Modelling yourself with the Karmic choices you make along the way, which ultimately moulds the fate of the city, in which you inhabit. Which happens to be Seattle this time round, a city I don't really know being from England. The last time I saw Seattle being used as a setting for something in the media, was Frasier, the Cheers spin-off.
The new hero this time round, Delsin Rowe, is a loveable rogue. Voiced expertly by Troy Baker, who was also Joel from 'The Last of Us' and Booker DeWitt from 'Bioshock: Infinite', amongst many, many other game characters. I didn't think I was going to get emotionally involved with, or even like this new character, after Cole. Since the characters Cole and Zeke, are part of what made the inFamous franchise, what it is. By the end of the game, I was sold though. Major changes aren't always a bad thing, sometimes, not very often, they're just what a franchise needs.

Trophy Guide
Overview
For this game you will need to do two play throughs, one with good karma, choosing all the good (blue) choices, one with evil karma, choosing all the evil (red) choices.
For the first play through, you will be able to get all trophies, apart from the ones that pertain to evil choices. I also chose to do the expert difficulty trophy on the evil run. Try to keep civilian casualties down to a minimum and whenever you have a choice, choose blue. You can do certain trophies that are evil orientated, Freedom of Speech, Spin-off, Everyone's a Critic, What Did You Call Me? and Kicking & Screaming. This is because their karmic consequences are quite minimal. If you feel safer doing all evil trophies on the alternate play through, that's up to you.
On the second play through, you will be choosing all evil karma choices, on what will essentially be a speed run, because you should have done all other trophies on your first play though. You can mop any up that you missed from your first run though, apart from good karma choices, obviously.
If you wish to play as evil in the first play through, then there's nothing stopping you. There are no major benefits, for either good or evil, that will help in your expert run. I just thought it would be easier for me not having to worry about innocent people, and blow everything up as evil.

Unstoppable
Finish the game on Expert difficulty
Finish the game on Expert difficulty
A quick warning about this trophy, you have to manually set the difficulty to expert. The first chance you get to do this is when you first gain control of Delsin.
I chose to do this on my second (evil) play through. I found it easier not having to worry about anything, apart from completing the story. Meaning I was able to just destroy everything, including civilians and suspicion pens. Also, if you go for this trophy on your second play through, you will know how everything works, including which upgrades you do and don't need. The most annoying thing about this difficulty, is that enemies don't show up on your mini-map.
There is nothing difficult about expert difficulty, you just have to play a bit more cautiously, and not just running out into the open. I would say stick to the rooftops for the duration of the first two powers, trying to pick off D.U.P. with head shots. This becomes especially useful once you have Neon, as head shots become insta-kills, when you zoom in with L2. Once you have Video however, the invisibility power becomes your best friend. You can get in right amongst the action and wipe the D.U.P. out quite quickly, whilst building up Karmic Streak attacks to deal with the larger enemies.
You should also have knowledge of the boss fights too, if this is you're second play through. The best tips I can give for the boss fights are to stay out of sight, failing that keeping moving and dodging using O. The quickest way to bring the bosses, and any enemy for that matter, are the special attacks (R1). Make sure you are always stocked up, it is also advisable to upgrade the amount of special attacks you can 'carry'.
As for blast shards, I won't go crazy collecting them all, upgrades aren't as important as you'd think. Sure, if there is one near by, go absorb it. I think I used about fifty shards for my expert difficulty run. I didn't upgrade concrete at all for the final battle.

Rescue 10 suspects from suspicion pens
Rescue 10 suspects from suspicion pens
This is a Good Karma trophy.
This event is depicted by padlocks on your mini-map, just like the trophy image, these are suspicion pens. They are easily recognisable, they have yellow fencing. To free the prisoners, just walk to the gate and swipe the touchpad, which ever way the arrow is facing. Simple as that.
If you missed this on your good run, then don't worry, you can do it on your evil run. The amount of Karma you get is quite minimal, and can be easily compensated for.

Beat down 10 sign twirlers
Beat down 10 sign twirlers
This is an Evil Karma trophy.
This event is depicted by arrows on your mini-map, just like the trophy image. These events are random, and can happen anywhere in the city. My advice is, whenever you see one appear on your mini-map, stop what you're doing and go and deal with the sign twirler. This is simply to get the trophy out of the way, so you don't have to worry about it, although you will get plenty of chances to do this trophy.
What you are looking for is a civilian holding an advertising sign, simply kill him (or her), and that's it, repeat nine more time. They can be quite skittish, they are easily spooked and may run away. If this happens, but you know which civilian was the sign twirler, you can still kill them, and it will count.
You can do this trophy on your first run (good), if you like. The amount of Karma you get is quite minimal, and can be easily compensated for. If you want to do all evil trophies on your evil run, that's up to you.

What you need to do is find the box of drugs, and destroy it. This will alert all the dealers to your presence, there is usually four or five. Incapacitate all of them, for the bust to count. If the blue syringe doesn't disappear, there may still be a dealer hiding. Check your mini-map, they show up as little red arrows. Once the syringe disappears, that counts as one, not five or however may individual dealers you killed.
If you missed this on your good run, then don't worry, you can do it on your evil run. The amount of Karma you get is quite minimal, and can be easily compensated for.

What you are looking for is a guy carrying a gun, they do look a bit like what the media thinks all Russians look like. Think Niko Bellic, from GTA IV. He will start mouthing off, when you get close, kill him. A few of his friends will show once you start attacking him, usually three or four, you need to kill them as well for it to register. That counts as one, repeat nine more times.

What you're looking for this time is a group of civilians (not that they're acting civil), beating a conduit, who'll be lying on the floor wearing a yellow vest. Walk into the middle of the ruckus, the civilians will run off. Then simply press, triangle, to help up the conduit. That's one, repeat nine more time.

Walk It Off
Heal 10 wounded civilians
Heal 10 wounded civilians
This is a Good Karma trophy.
These little events, won't show up on your mini-map. From time to time, you'll see a civilian rolling around on the floor, they are fairly easy to spot, because they will have a triangle symbol above them. All you need to do is walk up to them, press triangle, which heals them. You may even injure a civilian yourself, when fighting the D.U.P., so keep an eye out for them as well.
This trophy is the opposite of 'Kicking and Screaming'.

Finish off 10 wounded enemies or civilians
This is an Evil Karma trophy.
Unlike 'Walk It Off', you can do this trophy using either, civilians or enemies. When ever you see an enemy or a civilian rolling around on the floor, approach them, you'll get the option to heal (triangle) or finish them (square), obviously for this one, you want to finish them. You'll get so many opportunities to do this, you may even do this a few times and not realise.

Achieve Level 5 Good Karma
Achieve Level 5 Good Karma
If you are doing a completely good play through, obtaining all the miscellaneous trophies as you go, as I did, you should get this before finishing the story.
There aren't as may opportunities to obtain Good Karma as Evil Karma, but that shouldn't be a problem if you're doing a 100% playthrough. Make sure you take every opportunity to get Good Karma, I list a few below.
This trophy isn't missable, because you can grind certain good actions post game. I didn't need to, I got this before finishing the story. The best tip I can offer, is using the neon leg shots, and the video invisible attack, all the time.
This trophy is the opposite of 'Infamous'.

- Most obviously, the good choices within the main missions.
- Heal wounded civilians.
- Rescue conduits from angry mobs.
- Drug busts.
- Rescuing suspects from suspicion pens.
- Chose good option when doing stencil art.
- Restrain injured enemies, instead of finishing them.
- When using neon power, zoom in with L2, and aim for an enemy's legs.
- When using video power, go invisible, sneak up to an enemy, and incapacitate them with triangle.
- Also, I think using a Good Karmic Streak attack might count.

Achieve Level 5 Evil Karma
If you are doing a completely evil play through for second run through the story, as I did, you should get this before you finish the story.
This is the easier of the two levelling trophies, this is because you can make everything you do count as Evil Karma. Just go crazy, kill everything and you'll be fine. Below is a quick list of things that add to Evil Karma.
Again, this trophy isn't missable, because you grind kills and certain evil actions post game. I didn't need to, I got this before I finished the story. As with the trophy above, the best tip I can give you is, use neon head shots, and the video invisible attack, all the time. In fact, go nuts, you'll be fine.

Shardcore
Collect all the Blast Shards
Collect all the Blast Shards
Firstly, thank you Sucker Punch, thank you. Once again, the blast shards appear on your map. Also, there really aren't that many.
You do however need to reveal them first. This is a simple process, the city is split up into districts, and each district has a D.U.P. mobile command centre. Once you destroy the command centres, they will reveal the location of the collectibles and side quests, for whichever district they were situated in.
As for the blast shards themselves, they shown up on the map as light blue dots. There are three places that blast shards are hidden.
To absorb a blast shard, get close to it and press the touch pad.

- There are four in each D.U.P. mobile command centre, they are expelled once it is destroyed.
- There is a single blast shard inside each scanning station, these are also expelled once they are destroyed.
- The majority of them however, are inside security drones. The drones are the ones that show up on the map all the time as blue dots. They may be flying around, in which case they will need shooting down, or they will be sat stationary, usually on the side of buildings. Drones are easily spotted as they have a blue aura about them. They look like mini VTOLs.

Blinded
Destroy all of the D.U.P. security cameras
Destroy all of the D.U.P. security cameras
These cameras are mostly situated near D.U.P. mobile command centres on the side of buildings. They are easily spotted, as they show up on your map.

Once you are able to see them on the map, you can get to work destroying them all. They appear on the map as symbols, similar to the trophy image. If the camera can't see you, they will have a yellow outline on the map. However, if they spot you, they will sound an alarm, and the image on the mini map will have a red outline around it. These cameras really aren't discreet, they make a lot of noise, and flash red. Put a couple of shots into them to destroy them.

Collect all the Informant Audio Logs
Audio logs are not just normal collectibles, they are essentially a side mission. They show up on the map depicted by a symbol the same as the trophy image.
You do however need to reveal them first. This is a simple process, the city is split up into districts, and each district has a D.U.P. mobile command centre. Once you destroy the command centres, they will reveal the location of the collectibles and side quests, for whichever district they were situated in.
Approach the audio log symbol, and you'll be prompted with a command to press up on the d-pad to activate the side mission. Once you do this, you'll need to press up on the d-pad again to bring up the tracker. Now just follow they direction of where the signal is coming from. The number metres you are away from the audio log, will obviously go down as you get closer. Once you are within range of the audio log, you will be prompted to press the touch pad to collect it. I think the distance was three or four metres away. The audio logs flash red, just to make it that little bit easier.

Once you arrive at the mission start point, you need to press up on the d-pad to activate it. You will receive a picture of your target, it will be on the left-hand side of the screen. Usually these missions start on a rooftop, so they can be ended quite quickly, because you should be able to see your target from up there. Aim for your target's head using L2, to try and get a quick kill, then blast away with R2.
If the target spots you however, he will run, so be prepared to give chase. Keep firing as you chase your, target through the streets, some of them can be quite quick and may get away from you. If this happens, don't worry, go back to the start point and the mission will spawn back again instantly. I found these missions a lot easier later on once you have neon, this is because you can slow down time by aiming with L2. Once you have purchased the upgraded that is.

Unlike the other D.U.P. security cameras, destroying these cameras are a side mission, rather than a collectible. The mission start point is depicted on you map by symbols the same as the trophy image.

You need to activate the side mission, once at the start point, by pressing up on the d-pad. Once you do that, you will be seeing from the cameras point of view, usually with Delsin in shot. You should be able to get an idea of where the camera is from what you can see. Exit the camera's view, look to where you think it is and begin searching. These cameras are a lot smaller, therefore they are a bit trickier to spot. You can jump in and out of the camera's view at any time, by using up on the d-pad. This can be especially useful if you get turned around. Once you spot the camera, put a couple of shots into it to destroy it.

Once you're at your canvas, it's time to get your Banksy on. You get a choice of good or evil piece. Obviously, your choice is determined by which play through you're on. Make your choice by using the d-pad, now turn controller on it's side, so that R2 is at the top and shake to wake the paint. Simply spray over the stencils, that put in front of you using R2. There are usually two or three for each painting. Now stand back and admire your handy work.

Complete all of the District Showdowns in the city
Showdowns are only available once you have got the D.U.P. controlled percentage down to 30% or less. Each District has its own showdown, so you need to get the percentage down for each district individually. This is done by doing side missions and retrieving collectibles.
The start point for showdowns are always in front of large billboards, on rooftops. Once there press up on the d-pad, this will activate the side mission. Showdowns are pretty self explanatory, a large group of D.U.P. will show up, you need to dispose of them. That's all there is to them.
Once you have finished the showdown the D.U.P. for that district will be greatly reduce, and the start point for the mission will turn into a fast-travel point.

Clean Sweep
Clear the D.U.P. out of the entire city
Clear the D.U.P. out of the entire city
There are a total of thirteen districts in Seattle. It doesn't take long at all to clear each district.
Firstly, you need to destroy the D.U.P. mobile command centre for the district, this will reveal everything on the map, side missions and collectibles. If you go to the map by pressing options (R.I.P. Start Button), you will see a completion percentage for each district, if you hover over them with your cursor. The idea is to get that percentage down to zero.
You do this, by completing all the side missions, and collecting all the collectibles. If you take a look at the map, you will see a legend for each district, this tells you what you still need to do. Once you're at zero percent for a district, it will flash up on the screen telling you so.

Total CARnage
Destroy 5 cars in 5 seconds
Destroy 5 cars in 5 seconds
There are probably many ways to do this trophy, you may even get it without noticing, but I'm going to explain how I did it.
Once you have cinder missiles for the smoke power (three minimum), open up your map, look for Seattle Centre fast travel on the northern section of the map, hopefully you've unlocked it, by doing the showdown for that district. Once you've found it, look just below the fast travel, there will be two black rectangles. This is a car park. There should be lots of cars there, try finding three cars together, with a few more in close proximity. Now, shoot a cinder missile into the middle of the group of three, this should cause a chain reaction, destroying at least those three, maybe more. Whilst that's happening, fire off your two other missiles at other cars that are close by. If you're quick enough, you should get this no problem.
If you don't get it, you can save, and load up your game, this causes the cars to respawn. Alternatively, just return again later.

Comet Drop over 170 meters
As far as I am aware, this is only obtainable after completing the story. After saying that I'm sure you know what you need to do.
You need to climb all the way to the top of the D.U.P. building, again. Simply, take the same path that you took in the final mission, dashing through vents, using the smoke power. Once at the top, remember that satellite dish on the top that you used to breach the building, yep, you'll be dashing into that again. Propel yourself into the air using aforementioned satellite dish, glide to the edge of the building so there is just road below you, now hit square to bomb all the way down the street. The trophy should pop once you hit the floor, if it doesn't you may have floated for to long before pressing square.

Keep It Up
Stay in the air for more than 45 seconds
Stay in the air for more than 45 seconds
There are probably a few ways to get this trophy, but I'm going to explain how I got it.
Once again, you'll be using the D.U.P. building post game, you want the exact same satellite that I describe in description for the 'Drop Everything'. Once you boost into the air off it, simply glide back down the ground. You can't just hold X, and not move around, that didn't work for me. You need to be moving Delsin around using the LS, as you descend. You can get well over a minute using this method.

Put That Anywhere
Defeat 10 enemies by detonating ammo crates
Defeat 10 enemies by detonating ammo crates
This is another one of those trophies you might get by accident.
Where ever you find a large group of enemies, you'll find explosive ammo crates, pretty much true for any game really. In this game they look like a pile of ammo crates all piled together, with some Gerry cans on them. I think the fact they have the universal yellow explosive label on them gives them away too. Anyway, whenever you see an enemy stood next to one, shoot it. The enemies do have to die for it to count towards the trophy though, not just thrown back with the force of the explosion. There are so many of these crates everywhere, you should have no problem.
Another thing to note, is that kills are cumulative, if you die, they still count.

Hat Trick
Defeat an enemy using three different power sources
Defeat an enemy using three different power sources
This may sound tricky, but it is very simple. You just need three requirements. One, you need all three main power sets, smoke, neon and video. Two, have one of each power source available within close proximity of the last requirement. Three, a single isolated enemy, preferably on a rooftop, so he can't run away.
Now, shoot him with first power, let's say smoke to simplify things, using R2. Find a power source so you can obtain your second power, neon, shoot him that with R2. Finally, absorb your final power source, video, hit him again with R2 and the trophy should be yours. If you don't get it, cycle through your powers again, hitting with each one again. You shouldn't have any problems though, I got it first time I tried.

Double Smoke Stack Attack
Dash through two red air vents without touching the ground and then Comet Drop on an enemy
Dash through two red air vents without touching the ground and then Comet Drop on an enemy
There are probably a few places to get this, and you may even get it without trying. I'm going to explain how I got it below.
I got this shortly after cracking open the third smoke core relay, near the beginning of the game. By third core relay, I mean, cinder missile in the market district. I had already collected the ones in Seattle Centre and Queen Anne.
The core relay will be in an alleyway, with a couple of D.U.P. guarding it, and a red vent behind them leading up to the roof. Starting on the ground, dash into the vent using O, this will propel you out of the vent on the roof, counting as one. From there, hover using X, directing yourself back to the red vent you just came out of, once lined up, hit O again to dash into the vertical vent again, throwing you back into the air, this counts as two. Now, hover over the D.U.P. below and press square to Comet Drop onto them. Alternatively, you could start on the roof, dashing into the vertical red vent twice, that would also count. You may find that easier.

Cough Drop
Comet Drop on three coughing enemies
Comet Drop on three coughing enemies
There is definitely a lot of places you can get this trophy, but I'll explain where I got it, because it is the first place you can get it.
Once you've destroyed the first D.U.P. mobile command centre, you'll be tasked with obtaining three new smoke powers from core relays. Firstly, you want sulphur bomb from the Seattle Centre district. Once you have that head to the core relay in Queen Anne, this will net you comet drop. As soon as you get this power, the game practically sets itself up for this trophy.
Four D.U.P. will appear on the ground below you, throw a sulphur bomb down using L1. This will make them start coughing, make sure at least three of them are. If you're three are coughing, jump off the building and press square to comet drop onto them. Boom, easy trophy.

Make Fetch Proud
Hit three weak points with Neon Beam in 6 seconds
Hit three weak points with Neon Beam in 6 seconds
You can only get this trophy, once you have obtained the neon power set, it will replace smoke for a while. You will once again need to find three core relays, to learn new powers, this time they all pertain to neon.
The first one you learn is laser insight, which is the one you need for this trophy. It allows you to zoom in, using L2, and focus on enemies weak points for a instant kill/subdue. If you hit the head (red), you'll get evil karma, whilst hitting the legs (blue), will get you good karma. You won't be able to get the trophy right away, because there will be only two enemies to test your power on.
Shortly after this though, you'll obtain the second power, stasis bubble. Now is the time to get this trophy, as four or five enemies will show up. Instead of using stasis bubble, zoom in using L2 and aim for the leg, or head, of each enemy. You should be able to easily move between each enemy, as they will be close together.
If you are having trouble with this, you may find it easier to wait for the upgrade that slows down time when you zoom in using L2.

Excessive Force
Use a Karmic Streak attack to defeat exactly one enemy
Use a Karmic Streak attack to defeat exactly one enemy
I got this trophy early on, I used the Karmic Streak for smoke. Instead of trying to isolate a single enemy on the ground, I found it much easier to find a single enemy on a rooftop.
The quickest way to build up your karma meter early on, is to use sulphur bombs. Throw them next to enemies to make them start coughing, walk up to them, and incapacitate them with triangle. You need to do this seven times in a row, fairly quickly or you'll lose your combo. But once you have a Karmic Streak attack active, it's safe until you use it. Once you have one, find a lonely D.U.P. on a rooftop, activate your karmic attack by using down on the d-pad. Trophy done.
